Recently, when I flew to Florida, it occured to me how beautiful the view from the plane is. In fact, it was anything but plain.
I’d never noticed it before, but being among the clouds, seeing the bluest sky and watching as the buildings and cars got smaller and smaller until they disappeared from view was breathtaking.
I managed to snap a couple of shots with my phone right after takeoff and paired with quotes (as per usual) they remind me of that wonderful time in the sky, when you’re quite literally with your head in the clouds.
“There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky; there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.” -Victor Hugo
“So fine was the morning except for a streak of wind here and there that the sea and sky looked all one fabric, as if sails were stuck high up in the sky, or the clouds had dropped down into the sea.” -Virginia Woolf
“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” -Leonardo da Vinci
