Just Because: Ballet

In a way, ballet is a bit magical. The routines, the music, and the unbelievably feminine, yet classic, costumes never fail to conjure up old, childhood dreams of being a ballerina.
Having taken ballet classes, I know just how much effort is put into perfecting every move, which makes watching ballet that much more impressive. It’s one of those things that people assume is complete talent, but that’s not the case. As the famous saying goes, “success is 10% talent and 90% hard work.”
And ballerina or not, that’s something we all need to be reminded of sometimes.

  1. Thank you for writing a post honoring ballet! The ‘fondu’ in my blog”fondufondue” was meant for representing that ballet step. I’m totally following your blog, because I’m a ballerina with food allergies to wheat, rice, and oats, and love to see how you invest in whole foods, and showing how hard us ballerinas work!

  2. I know! It’s been a little dream of mine to be a ballet dancer, but such commitment is beyond me!

  3. The 3rd shot is just breathtaking…what commitment!
