During a tightly scheduled week, sometimes the only things that can keep us going are the little things.
This past weekend, going out to eat with friends, a late wakeup, and some leisure time helped gear us up for the coming week (already proving to be a busy one).
Here are some rules we keep in mind to help us enjoy the little things and not stress the big ones:
1. Make a list. Create different sections and subtitles so it’ll be as organized as possible. You’ll get immense satisfaction from crossing something off.
2. Treat yourself to something frivolous. Occasionally.
3. Appreciate nature. Taking short walks (something we love to do) and spending time outside can significantly reduce stress.
4. Find humor in little details. A cute water bottle, a funny mug, and even a whimsical phone case can help keep you grounded.
